SIPHONARIIDAE - Siphonaria palmata (Carpenter, 1857). CRAZY RARE LONG AND REMARKABLE FINGERS WOOOOW!! The shell displays a really thick, elevated and extended dorsal fingers with unusual irregular growing, really impressive, the ventral side shows a very glossy elegant dark brown color form with white ring lip combined with the long fingers. Hard to get specimens so beautiful and complete like this. Light erosion on the top-apex as usual for this species, believe me. F+++ Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds in stones, this species lives where the waves break in the intertidal zone around the coastline. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide between strong big waves. El Laboratorio, 3km north from Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2026. Estimated value between 13-16 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC
