| Name | Lottia mesoleuca - GREEN COLOR FORM WOOOOW! |
| Size | 22 mm |
| Locality | Garza Blanca, Jalisco, Mexico |
| Note | LOTTIIDAE - Scurria mesoleuca (Menke, 1851). Dense strong Green colorful dorsal side with a clear brownish ring lip all around. Marvelous glossy bluish-green turquoise ventral side with fantastic and exquisite effect. Classic erosion on dorsum as usual not really harming this beauty. F+++-F++. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds in stones, this species lives where the waves break in the intertidal zone around the coastline. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide between strong big waves. Garza Blanca, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2026. Estimated value between 25-30 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC |
