LOTTIIDAE - Scurria mesoleuca (Menke, 1851). EXCEPTIONAL UNIQUE BLUISH TURQUOISE COLOR FORM!! Giant size with 27mm. This is the Lottia species you want to show off displaying the ventral side and the crazy colors combination. Marvelous glossy bluish-green turquoise ventral side with fantastic and exquisite effect. Between the middle spot brownish and white color changing to bluish-green turquoise ending with brown ringed lip. The dorsum shows a dark brown ring and dark vivid green color between and on top with white-yellowish effect color. Classic dense erosion on dorsum as usual for this species when they are Giant, not really harming this beauty. F++-F+++. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds in stones, this species lives where the waves break in the intertidal zone around the coastline. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide between strong big waves. Garza Blanca, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2026. Estimated value between 28-35 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC
