| Note | EXCEPTIONAL PATTERN AND HIGH MASTERPIECE CONDITIONS!! The real thing! This shell has the most elegance conditions you can get for this species, with the most intact dense dark black-brown banding pattern, exceptional spines, great branching spines in the shoulder with very Wide effect and elegant short body shape with elevated dorsum. Intact lip, siphon and apex. Gem-F++++. This species is common in Mexico. Open sea Hexaplex princeps are generally 99.9% completely ugly with classic and usually dense erosion, missing spines all around, dense-deep large drill holes, no coloration or pattern, and thick calcareous organisms attached all around them almost impossible to remove, that is the common Hexaplex princeps. However, on very rare occasions and in very enclosed bays or lagoon mouths that are open to the sea, there are individuals with great condition, but finding them is always a mystery and really hard, believe me. With my years of experience and luck, I know of some places where they sometimes appear in ideal and striking conditions after many hours of work. Here I present this unique and unusual top selection for the species, choose your favorite in this great auction. For any MURICIDAE lovers of aesthetics and advancer collectors. Found attached on, under and between large muddy stones with oysters and mussels about 5m- 8m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. September 2026. Estimated value between 40-55 euros. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC |
