| Note | Large, gorgeous and strongly pigmented cone from tropical north French Polynesia. The shell shows a sharp shoulder, beautiful pattern on the perfect spire with classic dark/light lavender and faded blush/violet banding complemented by one complete central band of egg-shell white longitudinal flammules to the ventral and leading body whorl to the lip edge. Flammules are absent on the mid-dorsal with two notable long black/brown longitudinal patches. Excellent wide shape and form with an intact protoconch, spire, sharp flawless natural lip and anal notch. Collected by Scuba diver while buried in sand underf rocks at 20-25 meters off ‘Ua Pou Island, Marquesas in 3/2025. Grade: GEM minus. |
