Up for grabs is a highly desirable and hard-to-find specimen of Amoria molleri f. reducta (Bail & Limpus, 2001), measuring 53.13 mm. This is the scarcer "banded form" of the species, exhibiting beautiful and distinct spiral bands of axial brown stripes, which contrasts with the typical uniform coloration. This specimen comes from an old private collection and includes the original, handwritten data label from the previous collector. The historical note reads exactly: "Amoria moleri Iredale 1936, trawled off Lady Musgrave Isl., banded form, dead as always. "The shell is well-preserved with a good glossy finish. An exceptional opportunity for Volutidae and Amoria specialists to acquire a specimen with excellent locality data and clear provenance. Grade: F+++/GEM. Shell No.: 987.
