| Name | Muracypraea mus bicornis - TRAWLED , Sowerby II 1870 |
| Size | 62.3 mm |

| Note | Beautiful rhomboidal form, remarkable/striking lateral wall patterning and coloration and classic glazed crowning dorsal tubercle complement this large specimen. The dorsum beams a pitch black maculae/blotch-pattern trail that serves as the dorsal line roadway. Strong nacre gloss with perfect extremities and distinctive lateral wall intra-patterning present. The shell boasts black aperture teeth with an orange patch on the columellar side. The large bicornis demonstrates an excellent size/weight ratio (47.8 grams). Trawled from the Caribbean Sea by fishing boats at 60 meters on sand bottom along with sponges in 6/2016 off Amuay Bay, Falcón, Venezuela. The specimen demonstrates a negligible mini self-repaired area on the labral margin toward the anterior extremity. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
