| Note | One of the most elegant strombus species, with beautiful long, curved spines. The most difficult Harpago species to acquire, endemic to the western Pacific, most specimens are either collected from Swains Reef or New Caledonia. Much of the species habitat has since been restricted making collecting new specimens very difficult. Only available from old collections now, this specimen was collected from Lihou Reef in the Coral Sea during expeditions to the remote Swains Reef archipelago. Exceptional live-taken specimen with perfectly intact digits and great colour. Very clean shell with superb dark pattern and no wear on the dorsum, this species is extremely prone to dorsal encrustations which this specimen is free from ~ F+++.
