Pterochelus triformis - Exceptional Big Boy !!! , (Reeve, 1845)
Size
74.5 mm
Locality
Taylors Island, South Australia
Note
This specimen was found while feeding on Pinna Shells by a diver in 2 metres of water 2km east of Taylors Island in South Australia. Shells of this size and quality are virtually unobtainable particularly in light of the recent massive algal bloom that has annihilated mollusc populations in South Australia. A delicate shell with a light brown body and delicate cream wings, that are in good condition. This beauty was found hiding in an old collection. Very Exceptional Specimen W/O !!!
