| Family | Volutidae |
| Name | Cymbiola complexa - Monster! , Iredale, 1924 |
| Size | 91.9 mm |
| Locality | Moreton Bay, Queensland |
| Note | Very large specimen for this species, anything over 90mm is almost impossible to get nowadays. Monster specimen from an old collection, a specimen from the golden days of Queensland trawling. Free from any growth scars, however the lip has been lightly filed ~ F++. Also some slight streaks in the aperture from the animal not being properly cleaned, as is commonly seen in old collection material. This of course, can be easily removed with a simple rinse and light cleaning. |
