A MAGNIFICENT very large specimen of the New South Wales form of this *, exhibiting beautiful colour. Supermely well-formed pattern. Exemplary quality for the species, habitat, and collection method. Hypermature, with thickened apertural lip. Not freshly collected for decades, and now obtainale only from choice old collections. Data: Off Eden, South Coast Region, New South Wales, Australia; upon mud/sand/detritus substrate; 150-250 m; trawled; 1982. Size: c.184 mm. Grading: Fine++++ (extremely minor, negligible trawl fraying to siphonal canal). Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
