NoteOne very nice live-taken specimen of the extremelly rare Modiolus aurum, one of the rarest shallow water mytilids, which is only found in the Juan Fernandez Archipelago offshore central Chile. This one was collected in the 70's and it is in perfect condition for the species. A very rare and hard-to-obtain species.
