F+++. A recently described family with only two known species. Endemic to freshwater habitats of the Yunnan Plateau, it is considered a relict lineage from the retreat of the Tethys Sea. The shells are highly distinctive, with unusual protoconchs and a characteristic notch-like feature on the aperture.
