| Note | An EXCEPTIONAL large specimen of the virtually never offered, and now highly prized ROSTRATE GREAT BARRIER REEF FORM, exhibiting a substantial degree of rostration, with extreme marginal and ventral callosity, and consequent weight and solidity. Markedly upturned terminals. Exquisite symmetrical proportions – the kind sought by the connoisseur of rostrate cowries. Characteristic thick, respledent gloss associated with rostration from this locality. Rare quality – PERFECTION. RARE LOCALITY, from which many now famous rostrate specimens were collected during the 1970s, and for half a century now protected, with no fresh specimens being available in future.
