Live-taken, vintage stock, this shell displays a unique slender and beautifully elongated profile, showing a distinct shape compared to other globose and heavy forms. Fully adult, strong teeth, but with just 52 grams, its remarkably lightweight structure compared at the size. The narrow aperture is lined with very fine, delicate, and clean teeth, perfectly matching the diagnostic features of the deep-water form described by Raybaudi. Looking closely at the details in the photographs, the shell show a natural roughness and a small natural flaw inside the posterior canal reglazed (self-repaired by the animal's mantle while alive). So we grade as Fine++. Please note that this specimen is being offered primarily for its scientific and malacological value, rather than as a shell for pristine cosmetic perfection or typical aesthetic beauty. Its combination of an oversized jumbo growth, extreme lightweight thin-shell structure, in fact represents a remarkable, textbook record of deep-sea survival and environmental adaptation. It is a true study piece intended for advanced collectors who appreciate the biological rarity and unique history of the genus Zoila.
