NoteOne of the FINEST very recently collected specimens of this endemic Marquesas Islands subspecies, exhibiting ULTRA-DARK and beautiful colour, in conjunction with a supremely well-formed dorsal pattern. Symmetrical, depressed ovate proportions. Hypermature, with immense marginal callosity, and extreme weight and solidity. An exquisite martybealsi for the connoisseur. Data: Baie de Hakatea, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands; upon coral reef substrate, under ledge, at night; 3-6 m; dived; 2025. Size: 55 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
