| Note | A MAGNIFICENT large specimen of the ABROLHOS FORM of this endemic Western Australian subspecies. RARE and EXCEPTIONAL quality – PERFECTION. Beautiful dorsal pattern: delicate ‘bird’s egg’ stippling of multitudinous pale straw maculae, across a cream ground. Markedly broad, depressed ovate form. Hypermature, with greatly thickened marginal and ventral callosity. An exquisite bataviensis for the Zoila connoisseur. Data: Off Pelsaert Island, Pelsaert Group, Houtman Abrolhos, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, amongst sponges; 53 m; R.O.V.; 2023. Size: 51.1 mm. Grading: Gem.
