NoteA large specimen of this RARE, extreme deep-water, endemic eastern Australian species. Not freshly collected since the 1980s. Always a very rough, deep-water species, with natural lunes, and substrate discoloration. Definitely for the highly advanced Fasciolariidae specialist whose collection yet lacks this elusive, and almost never offered species. Data: Off Eden, South Coast Region, New South Wales, Australia; upon mud/sand/detritus substrate; 350-450 m; trawled; 1982. Size: 70.6 mm. Grading: Fine+. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
