THREE COLORATIONS. The yellow Pharaonella aurea has always been a rarity. We have seen less than half a dozen from the Philippines and got a few only from Queensland in the past. Because of its elegant shape, delicate structure and pleasing size a longtime favorite among collectors of “beautiful” shells. This set was in the Stokes collection - he got fame through the “stokesi” Volute, likely a form of the fulgetrum, possibly a good species. I don't know if the white specimen is from the same species, I think not so, but the ensemble is stunning. A must have in any collection of shells that targets "beauty". From an old collection.
