| Note | Endemic to the Colombian Andes, a region where vast expanses of the original humid and cloud forests have unfortunately disappeared, rendering shells of this caliber increasingly scarce and highly sought after by advanced collectors. This remarkable specimen is readily distinguished by its striking inferior band, elegantly patterned with alternating black and white coloration, as well as by its thick black outer lip, which gradually fades into an exquisite violet hue. The apex is slightly chipped, showing only minor traces of natural erosion that in no way diminish its aesthetic appeal or collectible value. On the contrary, such features subtly attest to its authenticity and natural history. A magnificent collector’s piece, gathered among leaf litter in a humid montane forest at 1550 meters above sea level in January 2026.
