NoteAn OUTSTANDING ultra-large specimen of this rare, endemic, deep-water Queensland species. Exemplary quality for this usually very rough species. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls – never collected since – and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Definitely for the Cassidae specialist requiring a first-rate example of this elusive deep-water species. Data: Capricorn Channel, Queensland, Australia; upon fine-grained sediment substrate; 80-100 m; trawled; 1982. Size: 35.8 mm. Grading: Fine++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
