| Note | A superb specimen of a RARE New South Wales form, from a RARE LOCALITY, exhibiting truly beautiful colour: atypical rich CREAM ground, with chocolate markings, in a pattern of the highest aesthetic merit. Ultra-rich orange apertural interior. Prominent peripheral nodes. PERFECT, fully mature apertural lip and siphonal canal. The ONLY specimen of this form of the JES Collection. Not collected for decades, and now obtainable only from choice old collections – and almost never like this. Data: Off Iluka, Mid North Coast Region, New South Wales, Australia; upon sand substrate; 120-180 m; trawled; 1984. Size: c. 206 mm. Grading: Fine+ (one axial disruption to side of body whorl).
