| Note | An EXCEPTIONAL large specimen of the exquisite COLOMBIAN form – the most beautiful incarnation of the species – and the FINEST I have ever encountered. PERFECTION, incorporating intact protoconch, siphonal canal, and all varical spines. Beautiful colour: deep yellowish cream, with script-like spiral dashes of caramel. Always RARE at this level of size and quality, and no longer freshly collected. Data: Off Cabo de la Vela, Guajira Peninsula, Colombia; upon sand/mud substrate; 120 m; trawled; 1994. Size: 68.4 mm.
