This is a dead taken specimen of this recently discovered and described extremely rare volute. Know only from a handful of specimens none of which have been found live. I think this is number 7 known . It’s a great representative example in reasonable condition, the lip has been brocken by probably a deep sea crab . Protoconch is complete, a couple of tiny borer holes, no growth breaks. Presents pretty well especially from the dorsal view. One for the serious volute specialist.
