We did a thousand dives in the waters of Bohol and we catched ourselves hundreds of Dolomena including variabilis but none like this exquisite stromb with a golden-yellow lip. This variabilis overpasses in beauty the 2 figured specimens in the literature that have this feature: from Okutani (2000) & Dharma (2005). Since the golden color continues up to the anterior part of the lip while the 2 figured ones are only colored in the centre of the lip.
