GORGEOUS DARK BROWN EXQUISITE BEAUTY!! Imposing dark brown background with the best irregular white dots stunning banding. Exceptional tiny banding spiral ribs all around between the structure with wonderful effect. The shell shows a beautiful pattern on the perfect apex- spire with classic dark brown and white spots around with delightful pink apex. Handsome dark example of a lovely uncommon cone. Original operculum and elegant aperture. The best of the best for the species. F+++. This species is uncommon in my region. Apparently, populations are very small, with only a few individuals, and they are usually found in enclosed bays in calm, clear, muddy waters. They are rarely found directly in the open sea or on corals. The periostracum is very dense, like hair on the spire, and very thick and slippery around the body whorl. The animal is bright red-orange with striking colors and tiny black dots. Very hard to find with such incredible conditions and so dark brown colors as this one. Do not miss this unique opportunity to get this uncommon species. Found buried under big stones with brown algae, soft corals and mud about 5m deep. Isla Toriz, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. April 2026.
