| Note | SPECIAL HYPER GLOSS VENTRAL PATTERN WOOOOW!! LOTTIIDAE - Lottia pediculus (Philippi, 1846). This species are really attached only in the craziest places where the waves and currents are absolute Strongs and dangerous. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. this beauty shows the most elegant and hyper gloss ventral side with amazing unique pattern form, the lip is really thick and colossal , uncommon for this species. The dorsal side is coming with some king of radial ribs and black banding with the classic erosion as usual for this amazing species, hard to get nowadays. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Islotes los Lobos Marinos, near Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2025.
