| Note | An EXCEPTIONAL specimen of this rare, extreme deep-water, endemic north-eastern Australian species. Exquisite rich earth palette. Exemplary preservation of all peripheral spines. Retention of beautiful dusky pink original operculum. Ultra-clean, with none of the typical substantial encrustation which detracts from the majority of examples. Not freshly collected for around four decades, and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Very seldom offered at this level of quality and beauty. Data: Off Nambucca Heads, Mid North Coast Region, New South Wales, Australia; upon sand substrate; 120-140 m; 1982. Size: 57.5 mm (width). Grading: Gem; w/o.
