| Note | One very nice specimen of the surf clam Mesodesma donacium, collected alive at about 1-2 m at Playa Puerto Viejo, Caldera, northern Chile. This species is edible and it has been depleted in some areas in Chile, and it is rather uncommon now. This is a very nice specimen for the species, and it retains most of its periostracum. A very low initial price for an interesting surf clam. |
