| Note | A large and intriguing specimen of Macrocypraea cervus measuring 108.90mm, from the collection of Mrs. Mary Cronkhite (Marathon, Florida). This shell features a very unusual and distinctive dorsal pattern; while the spots near the base and margins are crisp and clear, the dorsal area exhibits a dense, 'cloudy' or blurred spotting effect. This creates a misty, atmospheric appearance that is quite different from the standard sharp-spotted examples. The shell is fully mature with a high natural gloss and excellent structure.
