GIANT RARE SIZE WITH NATURAL CONDITIONS!! Giant size for this rare population at Tenacatita Bay. Completely natural conditions with extra thick periostracum. Really great spire with unusual complete apex for the giant size. The most thick lip I have ever seen for this species with excellent and intact conditions, really colossal lip. White yellow aperture with original operculum. This species is rarely seen walking above ground; they are generally nocturnal, burrowing during the day and rarely found eating above ground where they can be seen. It is very difficult to detect them where they are hidden under the sand, unless the sand has been disturbed. The periostracum is very thick and slippery when live. A common feature of this species is that it always has growth lines that form its shell and clearly mark the lines of its life. Giant sizes as this one here present several natural growth marks not really harming the beauty. F++-F+++. For advancer Conus collectors. Found buried in sand-mud between 7 and 10m deep.
