Superb Mappa f. montrouzieri from Uié Bay. Bay montrouzieri specimens differ from those from Nickel Bay, being much heavier, with a thicker varnish, and often of superior quality. This specimen displays ivory outlines on both the anterior and posterior extremities, much more visible in hand. I guarantee that any Mappa collector who purchases this piece will, upon receiving it, be compelled to sort through their drawer of Mappa montrouzieri to make room for this queen of the heavy viridis montrouzieri form.
