| Note | Undoubtedly the best quality and coloured specimen one could wish for. It exhibits magnificent frilled varices with an orange body and contrasting white varices. Collected at low tide in mud substrate on rock and reef, inside the Dampier Salt Production Road, Dampier, N. W. Australia. This region is now polluted and few to no shells are found there now. Provenance: collected by my family in the early 1970's. |
