| Note | A beautiful sculptured specimen with very fine filagree spines, perfect in every way. It is a species extremely uncommon and rarely found today. Collected at low tide under the mud on low rock and reef formation. Once you know the location and habitat, quite often you feel them when running your fingers through the mud, even before you see them. On the inside of the Dampier Salt Road, Dampier, N. W. Australia. This region is now polluted and few if any are found now. Provenance: Self-collected with my family in the yearly 1970's. |
