Very attractive specimen of Voluta complexa, measuring 80.20 mm, dredged from the Capricorn Channel, off Bundaberg, Queensland. This shell originates from the well-known collection of R. Bosworth and retains its original identification label. It displays a refined and elegant pattern, with well-defined markings and a pleasing overall balance. The form is solid and well-proportioned, with a smooth surface and appealing natural appearance. Based on morphology, this specimen may be referable to the nielseni form, although it is offered here under its original identification as complexa. Condition: GEM. Shell No.: 39.
