| Note | Hyper-inflated, large, heavy and misty peach pigmented beauty. Outstandingly symmetrical Umbilia trawled from southern Australia with a strong weight/size ratio (123.7 grams). The specimen shows distinctive buff/flesh/tan pigmented extremities, a smaller diffuse apricot pigmented columellar dorsal blotch, a wide yellow/cream colored primary hue and perfect extremities. An ultra-globular shell with deep nacre gloss, exceptional rostration and fantastic form and symmetry. Trawled at 150-170 meters on sand and rubble substrate in the Great Australian Bight, Ceduna, South Australia in 1998. The shell has three micro-sand inclusions on the labral dorsum. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
