| Note | Brilliantly patterned specimen with rich color transitional hues, classic large lateral wall/marginal spotting, superb form with a "humped" dorsum and a super deep sparkling glassy nacre. Super shape with notable inflation, moderate rostration and incredible upturned extremities as viewed in the images are desirable. This shell demonstrates a beautiful array of transverse lines dorsally. The specimen also shows mild marginal tuberculation and an impressive glossy base. This shell is a standout visually. Harvested by Scuba diver at 15-20 meters sitting and grazing on sponges in a reef cave between large granite boulders off Michaelmas Island, Albany, Western Australia in 5/2015. The shell has a hard to notice soft palpable growth fold on the posterior ramp, and small white algae inclusions on anterior extremity and posterior labral margin Grade: F+++. |
