| Note | Arashi, Aruba, scuba diving at 2 to 6 meters depth, found under rocks and dead coral. Nowadays this species is uncommon in Aruba. Turdus is outcompeting acicularis in their shared habitat, causing acicularis to disappear. This specimen was collected around 2021, when turdus had not yet been found in Aruba, or was still rare there. Grade: (Gem). This auction, I will be posting exclusively Caribbean specimens, mostly from Aruba. The next auction will feature a broader range of shells from various locations. |
