A premier, select specimen of Zoila friendii thersites from a prestigious private collection (1950-2010). This shell was collected at a depth of 10-35 meters in South Australia and stands out due to a highly unusual morphological feature. The specimen exhibits a remarkable "Voluta effect", characterized by an exceptionally prominent, pointed, and protruding spire—a rare structural trait for the genus Zoila. It boasts a robust, heavy-calloused build with a high-domed profile. The dorsum is a masterpiece of natural pigmentation, displaying a striking mottled pattern of deep mahogany and chocolate-brown over a bluish-white base. An investment-grade specimen of high rarity due to its unique spire formation. Weight: 34.0g. Grade: F+++/GEM.
