Very pretty turbo with radial emerald green and white stripes collected from weedy reef in two metres of water at Edithburgh on the Yorke Penninsula in South Australia. Virtually never gem due to the violent habitat they live in. The shell has a few growth pauses and it's lip is a little rough. Known in Southern Australia as the periwinkle shell. It was collected and eaten as a food source by indigenous Australians in the past. They are still recreational fished and eaten.
