| Note | An EXCEPTIONAL large, ULTRA-RARE BROWN specimen of this already rare Marquesan endemic species – the first I have ever encountered of this extremely rare colour form, in which the distinctive typical pinkish purple dorsal lines are absent, and the ground is a rich clay brown. Very recently collected, and acquired for the JES Collection for the first-hand study and documentation of this unusual living colour. The specimen is believed to be a MALE example. PERFECTION. Now to be passed to a Cypraeidae connoisseur, that they may also study and fully appreciate the exquisite colour and quality of the specimen. A potentially unique opportunity for an advanced Cypraeidae specialist to obtain an ultra-fresh specimen of this rare form to maintain under careful curation.
