NoteA MAGNIFICENT ULTRA-LARGE specimen of this RARE and exceedingly beautiful MARQUESAN subspecies, exhibiting exceptional colour, with a particularly SPECTACULAR ULTRA-DARK VENTRUM. Superb dorsal pattern. Hypermature, with extreme marginal and ventral callosity, approaching rostration towards anterior terminal; incredibly solid and heavy. Very seldom offered at this level of size, quality and beauty. A curvati for the connoisseur. Data: Baie de Hakatea, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands; upon coral reef substrate, under ledge; 4-5 m; dived; 2022. Size: 74.2 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
