| Note | F+++. This species was originally described as a fossil taxon, with the type specimens discovered in limestone caves in Guangxi. Last year, a living population of this species was discovered, and based on DNA analyses, a new genus was established with this species designated as the type species. The extant population is extremely rare and is now close to extinction due to water pollution.
This specimen comes from the living population. Although it lacks an operculum, it is otherwise in very good condition. |
