NoteAurata that are found in the northern portion of their habitat range off Coral Bay are invariably round bulbous shells. This large rotund specimen was collected from a white funnel sponge in 162 metres of water west of Coral Bay during April 2024. Graded Fine++ due to a growth irregularity on the labial side of dorsum and a silt inclusion. The shell has perfect siphons.
