| Note | A superb ultra-large specimen of this elusive deep-water species, from the 1990s Somalian trawls. Fresh-dead-collected, as usual, but of exemplary overall condition and colour. Minimal encrustation, (could be further cleaned if desired). No longer freshly collected from this locality, and now obtainable only from old collections. Data: Off Mogadishu, Banaaddir, Somalia; upon sand/mud substrate; 100-150 m; trawled; 1991. Size: 105.1 mm. Grading: Fine++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
