| Note | Rare endemic species from the Colombian Andes. Due to the extensive loss of the original humid and cloud forests in this region, specimens have become increasingly scarce and difficult to obtain. This shell is distinguished by a characteristic lower band with alternating black and white coloration, a thick black outer lip gradually fading into violet, and an overall attractive coloration. It shows minor signs of natural erosion, a well-preserved apex, and a visible growth line on the ventral side, all consistent with natural environmental conditions and not detracting from its visual appeal. Collected among leaf litter in humid forest at an elevation of 1,560 meters above sea level in July 2025. A desirable Andean specimen for advanced collections. |
