| Note | An OUTSTANDING, ultra-large, ULTRA-SPHERICAL specimen of the classic Great Australian Bight form. Such markedly spherical specimens are extremely RARE in comparison with more typically ovate-elongate examples. Magnificent rich colours. Very BRUNNEA-like. Superb, dense dorsal pattern. Decidedly prehistoric appearance. Not freshly collected for almost three decades, and now obtainable only from choice old collections, and almost never like this. A very SPECIAL and IMPORTANT armeniaca for the most discerning Umbilia connoisseur. Data: Great Australian Bight, off Ceduna, South Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate; 140-150 m; 1999.
