| Note | Massive, beautifully patterned specimen displaying various rich primary hues and a faint brown/orange dorsal line. It's large size, thick rich nacre, perfect extremities/base and inflated shape make this shell not your everyday pantherina. Any collector will proud to display this specimen in their collection, inspit of blemishes, just by size, weight and color alone (104.6 grams). The thick rounded margins have a wonderful pinkish glow. The pantherina was grabbed in 9/2019 off Giftun Island, Hurghada, Egypt by Scuba diver on night dive at 15-20 meters in a crevice off a coral reef outcropping. The specimen displays a wobble on the columellar mid-dorsal and a subnacre glazed inclusion fleck below the wobble at the dorsum/lateral wall interface. Grade: F++/F+++. |
