| Note | Pretty example of westralica, with distinctive chestnut brown dorsal botching, thick glossy nacre and perfect extremities and scattered dark mid-dorsum brown spotting. The shell is moderately heavy for its size (77.8 grams) and shows remarkable form and a distinctive mantle line paired by rows smaller dots. The shell is wonderfull patterned, modestly rostrated, has a inflated dorsum and complemented with a thick nacre. Trawled at 130-150 meters off the western Great Australian Bight, Eucla, Western Australia. There is a heavily glossed and discolored sand inclusion mid-dorsum just below the dorsal line, easily seen in several images. Grade: F+++. |
