| Note | Superb solid shell, glossy nacre, large and remarkably inflated specimen with an impressive golden/apricot hued dorsal blotch with an excellent dorsal line. The specimen shows apricot/peach hued lateral walls, thick rounded margins, perfect base and extremities with moderate rostration. The shell displays perfect and lovely flesh-toned/burnt orange extremities and shows moderate weight for its size (115.1 grams). Trawled at 170 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Western Australia circa 2005. The shell shows minor negligible blemishes, two micro sand grain inclusions, one on each ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
